Book Signings Galore!

Our celebration of “Hear & Beyond: Live Skillfully with Hearing Loss” continued in 2023 with book signings at a variety of hearing loss and audiology conferences. We are so proud of the wonderful response from both the hearing loss community and the professional community.

“Hear & Beyond” is available wherever books are sold as well as in many public libraries across the country. It is available in paperback, as an e-book as well as an audio-book. You can grab your copy on Amazon here.

If you liked the book, please write a review on Amazon or your favorite book review site. Reviews help others find the book too.

New Paths for Hearing Loss Advocacy

In 2023, I was proud to expand my advocacy activities.

I was nominated by Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) to serve as a consumer reviewer for the Hearing Restoration Research Program (HRRP) of the Department of Defense’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). As a consumer reviewer, I provided evaluative analysis on the impact of the proposed research applications submitted to the program from the perspective of a person affected by hearing loss.

I was also invited by the World Health Organization to kick off the World Hearing Forum Stakeholder’s meeting by sharing my hearing loss story. It was amazing to meet so many committed hearing health advocates from around the world! Living with Hearing Loss has been a proud member of the World Hearing Forum since 2022.

Here’s to 2024!

I look forward to more hearing loss advocacy, writing and speaking in 2024. And of course more community building with all of you! If you like Facebook, please feel free to join our Facebook Group too.
